Ive shot both and ended up getting the Illusion. I killed several deer this year and none of the deer reacted to the shot because the bow was soo quiet. In my opinion the Browning is the way to go.

I own a '05 Illusion. Probably one of the smoothest and quietest bows on the market. Although I havent shot a Switch Back. I got the Illusion on a shooter deal so the price was hard to turn down. I do hear the switch back is nice.

I guess that's why they make so many bows. Have shot both and picked the switchback hands down.

I got a Switchback! you can't go wrong with it! but you have to go with the one that feels better in your hand!. You can have the best bow in the world but if it does not feel good in your hand you won't shoot good with it!!!

Good luck with your choice!!!!

I did not try the Illusion but did try out some Hoyts and Bowtechs
and the Switchback. I liked the Switchback the best and bought it.
I probably could have been happy with the Hoyts or Bowtechs becasue
they were also very nice. You just have to go with what feels right to
you, so shoot as many different bows as you can.

I've shot both of these bows, and while I think the Illusion is a great bow, imo, the Switchback is a much smoother and more quiet bow.
