Hoyt spiral cam or cam 1/2?
I'm looking at getting set up with an ultratech, 50-60#.
Whitails and Elk are the primary targets. Does anyone shoot the cam and half or spiral cams? What is your input on whats better? Is the spiral cam more difficult to shoot?

The spiral cam is only a 65% letoff and has less valley. In most hunting situations I think the regular cam would be more practical. But, the spirals are faster.

The spiral cams are faster, have less of a valley and 65% letoff, all of which I prefer. AND most will not say this, but they are a SMOOOTH drawing cam. They stack early and carry the weight through most of the draw cycle, but man are they smooth.
I only have about 50 shots experience on the regular cam and a half. It hurt my shoulder. Thats my only experience with them. I can see the adjustability asa plus if you arent completely sure on your draw length.

The spirals have a great back wall and are faster. They are a little tougher to shoot but if you have good form you will love them. They are not a novice shooters cam. If you want a smooth, super fast cam with a rock solid back wall get the spirals, if you want adjustability get the cam 1/2.
