Default Weight of spray painted crest??

Just curious how much, if any, weight the spray paint added to the crest for those of you that did the spray paint cresting. Did you weigh the difference?

Thanks!

It all depends on the details. If you do a simple one coat or a short fade it will only be a few grains. If you go high tec with airbrushing and so forth it can add up. I use wraps because there are just too many variables with the spray method. There is most likely not enough of a differance to tell without weighing it but I just feel better with the wraps.

In the video demostration, they weighed it before and after.
There was about a grain difference, and they did a full 8" or 9" "dip" job on it.

I had trouble with it though. I tried it on Easton XX78 Aluminums, and the spray laquer would not cover the printed design, even with many coats. Haven't had time to investigate why. The video said it would work on carbon and aluminum.

I sprayed mine white with a hot orange fade. The flo. orange is a bit heavy, so the added weight to my arrow was a whopping 3 grains..

Your supposed to use spray on Laquer? I was going off of memory from watching the video a few weeks ago, I forgot that I guess. Its a good thing I didn't get a chance to do them yet
