EZ Hanger

Does anyone here use the EZ Hanger for their bow? They look like they'd work pretty well. Are they easy to screw into the tree if you are using a climber, or do you make a comotion when you try and get it in the tree?

My dad has one and it works very well, I am planning on getting one for myself this year. It was easy and quiet screwing it into the tree.

I myself use the EZ Hangar. I love the thing and would tell anyone to use one. I am a righthanded shooter and I screw it in a little bit above my head and to the left. When my bow sits there I can grab it with my left hand without alot of movement. It has a good machine screw for the tree so screwing it into the tree is very easy with any stand you use. I even have a video camera mount that I mounted on top of it so I can film my hunt. Hope this helps

I purchased one halfway through the early archery season last year and I can't imagine hunting from a treestand without it now. They are deffinitely worth spending a few dollars on.

They are a great asset to have!!! I have used one for quite a while now....between it and my camera arm and something to hang my backpack on , they have made it easy to stay in a tree for those long hours needed to spot that big critter your after..

Just don't forget to take it out of the tree after you remove your stand! I did that this year. I took my stands down in January and while I was cleaning out my backpack in March while getting ready for turkey season, I realized I had left it in the tree! Fortunately I had put reflective tacks on the tree and was able to find it and retrieve it!

I also use it and I wouldn't go to my tree without it. It is a very valuable tool in my mind.

i have one and usually sweat my a$$ off trying to get it in the tree. the little green hookks are muck quicker to get into trees.

Is that the one that the guys on the RealTree videos use. If so they look like a good product. I bought a cheaper version (cannot recall brand) and don't trust it. You hang your bow and worry it will pivot and drop it.........dabow

Yep,
I've been using one for 2 years and can't imagine not having one now. I use the 3 arm model and with it set about a foot above your left shoulder my bow sits right in front of me.

This is going to sound crazy, but I went to Dick's to buy one two days ago and when I found where they were at they only had one short one for $15. I made up my mine that I wasn't paying that much. Well I walk over to this clearance table and 3 of the short EZ hangers (not a fake) were sitting in a pile of stuff for $1 each. I swear this is the truth. I liked to hit the floor. My wife and I searched for all we could find, but those three were all they had at $1.

I use one and ended up making a few that are similar a few years ago, very easy to make.

I'm curently using the screws with the u-shape built in for hanging. They work great, but I usually have more of a time than I think is necessary getting them into the tree properly. I also don't like that the most effective way I've found to hang my bow is behind my left shoulder and facing the other way (right-handed shooter). Are these things easier to screw into the tree than the hooks I'm currently using, because I'm seriously considering one?

I love mine as well great to hang everything on I hang my backpack next to the tree with it and couldn't imagine hunting without it!

RE: EZ Hanger

Is it easier to screw in then the regular hooks though?

BowHuntingFool 07-27-2005 08:08 PM

RE: EZ Hanger

I use the little green hooks. 2 in each tree. 1 for the bow the other for the backpack. I leave them in till the end of the season and take em out the last time I hunt that particular tree. Less stuff to carry around in the pack. You can get a boat load for $10......JMO.
