The grill WILL make an appearance! We all get there early enough, we can make pancakes on it after we shoot!

Okie Dokie, egads it is. I'll be there early, as if 3:30 wasn't early enough.

I'd love some of that fishin'-in-the-dark stuff.
I'll bring my own equipment, but I can't wait to try a retriever.

At 5:00 if there are too many people for the boats, I'll take some folks to a good place on shore, and meet up with yooz awl later for grub.

Hey Bulzeye..... crummy weather and sleepy people conspired against us meeting up. Sorry 'bout that!

After you called I went back to bed with the intention of getting up and leaving around 4am. I didn't get up until 5am and since the boyz seemed to be enjoying sleeping in.... I went and did really exciting stuff by myself.

Like wash laundry and clean the tar off my truck.

They boyz got up around 9am and eventually we did go out to the stretch of the Fox River by my house.

It was cloudy, windy and cold... but the carp were out there.

We intend to be out on the Kank next weekend (sans Jeremy). If anyone wants get together then, let me know.

Oh well. Thanks anyway. Some other time.
I was up plenty early and ready to go, but the weather was so nasty that all lof the thunder and lightning woke my 2 year old daughter up and scared her so bad she couldn't get back to sleep. My wife was not feeling well, so I just took my girl to bed with me and gave myself quite a backache trying to lie still waiting for her to fall back asleep.

By the time 5:00 rolled around, I was so stiff, tired, and sore that I just decided to stay home. The kid was up for the day anyway, and my wife still needed more rest. You gotta do what you gotta do.

We'll miss you Jeremy.
Glad you got some on your last shoot up here.
Enjoy the South.

I had a great time despite the cold and rain. We beached the boat at one point and stalked a couple in the shallows, lots of carp not a lot of shooting though (too cloudy and couldn't see real well... at least that's my excuse).

I have had a blast with the Illinois group and will have to return come spawn so we can stick a few more of 'em. Hopefully I'll be able to show you around the Georgia waters if anyone makes it down for a visit.

Thanks again folks!

Jeremy

Ed (E.J.D.) made it out to the Kankakee on Saturday. He walked the shore instead of boating. (river too high and fast)

He did good in the flooded backwaters.
