I have talked to someone who lost his Retriever overboard with a rubber strap adaptor doodad just like that one. Take some good black electrical tape or a tywrap and wrap it around just in case for added security. You can remove almost as quick when you want and don't even notice it on the bow.

I think I know what i'm goin to do. I am going to buy a screw on reel and cut off the screw part with a chop saw. Then I'm going to make a bracket and attatch it to my bow with JB weld or something like that.

I made a gadget adapter out of a block of wood, then tied it down with tape and string Just liek the 3-rivers model. I put an aims reel on a longbow.

You can put the zebco reels into the stabilizer hole, via a reelseat on the appropriate bolt, and if your recurve has sight holes on it, you can bolt the aims reel on direct.
