I have never bowfished but it looks really interesting. Can you do it during the night? I'm interested. I'm in central illinois, and my parents have a lake full of 'em.

Hey JP,
yeah it's often done at night with bright halogen lights, but you can get quite a few fish during daylight too.

Some people swear that the only way to really bowfish is at night with lights.

We just got our boat set up with some 500watt halogens and a generator. Some people use smaller lights and battery power to run their lights. Some people just use a handheld spotlight.

Either night or daytime..... it's a lot of fun. :)
