Thanks for the tip Coyote Hunter. I seen some big ones come out of the grass flats by the North Channel also. I go down by where you mentioned and fish once a while but my buddie Lou who is semi-retired is to cheap to drive that far so I have to meet him up by the DNR site by Deckers Landing. I'm going to have to quit my job or retire so I can get out more often.

that woudl be some fun time...

i have fished for carp with my bow before and its pretty fun but again i didnt have a spool we just tied some 60 pound spider wire up to a fishing pole... BIG REAL! and shot the bo, i rigged it so that the line just rippoed off the real and then who ever was holding the real wodul just real em in! it was a blast.

i hope you guys get back to me before this sunday! :)

Saturday (Aug 24th) is the shoot on the Kankakee. E.J.D. will be gathering addresses for the Bowfishing Club.

I have never bow-fished before but as an avid bass fisherman I would love to learn how to eradicate some carp.

Well Bassn81, bowfishing has got to be the most fun way to take carp, at least in my opinion.
Hopefully, we can hook up with one more shoot before it gets cold.
