Default bowfishing for alligator gar!?

I am from south dakota, and am looking for a good place to go bowfishing for alligator gar this year, me and my buddies dont even kno where to start looking for our trip, if anyone has any suggestions on a reaaly good location/ guide service for alligator gar bowfishing, i would really appreciate it! Thanks!

No there is no alligator gar up here, i am looking for a good place to go in texas, im from south dakota, and me and a couple buddies are looking for a good area/ guide service in texas, we have nvr went there b4 so dont kno any good places, if you know of a good area, or a good guide service down there plz let me kno! Thanks

Are you going to be taking a boat? If you go to Abilene theres a lake just north called Fort Phantom, Ive seen them all over that lake...anywhere from small to 5 feet long or so...prob some big ones in there.
