Ray Roberts Lake Texas
#1
We have been having Pretty good luck lately on Lake Ray Roberts in Northern Texas. I have been seeing some giant Grass Carp! This one isn't a giant but it is the biggest I've shot so far. The lake is really nice for bowfishing. The coves are huge and offer a lot of protection from the constant south winds.
This is the 3rd time I've shot this lake. I thought the Grassies that I have been seeing were buffs. I would get into these areas that were full of 10-15lb buffs and you would see these monsters that were 3-4 times bigger. Now I know the huge fish I've been seeing in Roberts are nothuge Buffs, they are huge Grass Carp.

Wow, that's alot of fertilizer!
Keep up the good work, those rough fish need thinning out.
Hopefully I'll get to do my part tomorrow morning. Last time we hunted Lake Granger we killed an even fifty fish, carp and gar mixed.
That second pic looks like a buffalo. I've filleted the meat off the ribs of buffalo before, no bones and fried up with a mess of whites you couldn't tell the difference.
This was off of a 13 pounder that I foul-hooked while fishing for white bass with 4lb test line... I don't even think he knew he was hooked for at least 30 minutes, I thought I hadsnaggeda passing nuclear sub!
Thanx for the post!
