Bowfishing Big Fish Contest '08
Alrighty everybody, start posting those big fish you've taken.
This is really just for bragging rights and fun. (tho' if I can scrape something up for the winners, I will!)
Post your biggest carp, gar, buffalo, etc.. We'll break the winners up by fish category. Winners determined by weight.
Contest runs until Oct 1st.

You big wuss Chris.
Darin has to post his fish for it to count. Darin? Darin?
Besides, he's just got the bighead division. Rodney has a great common carp there, but there's still a chance someone will score a bigger one. Then there's the gar... buffalo.. etc.

Longnose Gar, shot this afternoon. 11 lbs even, 45 inches long.
We did a terrible job shooting partly due to weather conditions, partly our own fault- missing more than 2 dozen times and only getting two in the boat, and this one was a monster. My brother missed another just before that which I estimate was 6" longer. The story is short and sweet - the sun when behind a cloud so I just saw a vague deep outline of it about 20 feet out. It was at least 15" down but my snap shot was on for once. It didnt fight much suprisingly.
Quick question: do gar steaks taste any good? I am going to try it, the cuts are huge!
