RE: BigHeads!!!!
Get the pics up! Went to Alton earlier this year with HNIChristine. Water was up and murky. We got one hybrid, and had a bunch of small silvers jump aboard.
They are good eating, especially the silvers. I've spent many hours cleaning them, and am now to the point of just cleaning the bigger ones - I get more meat for the effort.

RE: BigHeads!!!!
That is a nice load of fish. I got a question everyone talks about them tasting good what do they taste like? I might have to go down their one of these times and shoot a few. And another thing what is with this Wolfwithbow guy writing no one cares to every post?

Very nice take Darin.
I love the bigheads too, but haven't gotten in to them like that before.
Had to be cool.
I think he means that he/she doesn't care. I guess bowfishing isn't his thing, and that's OK with me. Odd that he/she would bother to write anything though. Whatever. No one cares.

RE: BigHeads!!!!
These are all bigheads we shot in the mississippi river, biggest was 28#, in 6 trips in 2 weeks we have got 310 fish with 64 being our best in a single night, the 64 fish weighed 1038#, we had a few small ones but most were in the 15# to 20# range, we lost several big ones at the boat and missed our share. as far as eating them, well, I cant, I am allergic to fish, but I do clean them all, can clean them just cant eat them!!!The meat is all white, I use them for coon bait for trapping..Dont want them to go to waste, I have saved a bunch of fillets for friends to try. Will let you all know..
