Stopped by DNR
Was out wading in the Maumee river when a DNR officer walked up and asked what the HE?? I was doing. About a half hour later he apolgised for distrubing me asked to take a shot and I think he may already be hooked.
The poor man never heard of bowfishing or what lic. was needed.

never been stopped by a dnr officer only kicked off a couple places by cops cuz of noise complaints. but that is rediculous that the dnr officer doesnt know whats goin on

If you were able to have a conversation with him about it, and he even ended up wanting to try it, you definitely did something right.
That's the kind of exchange that can build good relationships between bowfishermen and the DNR. The Illinois Bowfishers Officers have spent quite a bit of time talking with DNR biologists, site managers, and CPOs. It's paid off nicely so far, and it's a win/win situation when everbody knows they are on the same side.

Were you able to make it to Desperado's Ohio Club meeting?

If school slacks up some I'll be at meeting. The DNR officer called and wants me to go with him Saturday to set up a bow. I told him before I take him he needs to join HNI and read the bowfishing 101 anf the state regs on bowfishing. yes the last was a hahaha

went to proshop he picked up a tq sting ray loaded. went to find some fish creeks lakes and rivers are very high. now for desperodo may need some help stting up a class for yong people to introduce them to sport
