RE: Kingfisher vs. Coyote recurve
I purchased the KIngfisher bow (45 lb)several months ago along with a retriever reel ,AMS rest, and I'm extremely please with it. It shoots great and has managed to get me a 27 lb bighead with no problem. I also swapped out the retriever line to muzzy 200 lb test. I use to shoot an old Browning compound and it was hard to snap shoot those gar.

I have been looking at ordering a Kingfisher, but since I am new to bowfishing I wasn't sure you could mount an AMS retriever reel to the bow. Are there predrilled holes to mount the retriever reel?

Yes there are holes predrilled to mount the retriever reel however you 'll have to use the spacers that come with the retriever reel. The kingfisher bow and retriever reel will serve you well butI would also change the line on the retriever to muzzy 200 LB test it works so much better. I bought my setup from archeryexchange.com as a complete setup with 2 arrows, no gloves, and rest plus free shipping for arond $204.00.
