Carpbusters Championship Shoot-Out
Clinton Lake, home of the Illinois Bowfishers Carpbusters Tournament was the hosting lake for a last minute, no-holds barred Carpbusters Championship Shoot-Out. The top three teams from the Carpbusters.com tour were invited in.
Kendall, Dave, Joanne and myself were there to hand out the awards, do some filming for the TV show and generally have a good time.
The coveted Silver Carp Cup. It looked so nice in my living room that it almost didn't make it to the Championship Shoot-Out.
Team WI, Team River's Edge Productions and Kendall and I having dinner at the local eatery. Much smack was spoken here.
The Carpbusters Championship Shoot-Out group at the marina. From the left, James Powless and Sam Wood of Team WI. Brian Ball, Larry Sims and Jeremy Leu of Team River's Edge. Greg Pyles, Bruce Bauer and Luke 'Greg' Whitkanack of Team Oneida. Christine Appleberg of Carpbusters.
Team Wisconsin* wins the tourney with 190 carp. Congrats Sam and Jim!
379 Carp were taken in the Shoot-Out. It didn't go unnoticed by this vulture. It eyeballed the boats for quite some time.
The Carpbusters tour was a great success. Thanks to ALL the participants. See you in 2007 when it will be even bigger and better!!!!
*Team Wisconsin is open to sponsorship talks. :P

RE: Carpbusters Championship Shoot-Out
I can't wait until next year.
Lots of good people at these shoots, and lots of prize moolah too.
It's great for beginners or those who make use of simple boats too.
You can get lots of ideas of how to make shooting platforms, mount lights, and swap stories and tips. Typical of most hunting/fishing events, the participants are eager to share what they've learned over the years adn help out new guys and gals.
