Hey, nice pic! If it is one of your firsts, I would like to use it in our "first fish" albums. Let me know if ok with you.
I have fished your part of the river a few times. Lots and lots of silvers and tons of small gar.

Thanks all. Lots o fun down on the Kaskaskia... HNI Christine-- BEER simple and to the point, just make it cold. No, it's and old fiberglass bow, I don't even know what kind. 50 lb draw is all I know. I wish I knew how to make a bow. That's my fishin/huntin buddy Nesene (Cheyenne for "my friend".) She's always trying to "Help" get them in the boat. Robin-- Thanks, I was out alone, and set the camera timer. HA! So self portrait at that. It really is only one of my first of the year, not first ever, but feel free to do with it as you wish. Yeah we have plenty of shooting here, I usually don't get into the silvers until it warms up a bit. Drop me an e-mail if'n your gonna shoot the Kaskaskia, maybe I could meet you out there... I've never ran into another bowfisher out there. I leave out of Beck's or New Athens usually.

Con-gar-tulations!
I got my first one of those last spring.
I found out pretty quick that just about everything on that fish is sharp.
...and some of them could really use an attitude adjustment.
