Hehe! It's so funny. I don't think that there is any favorite brand of mine especially in choosing knives. I am d person who is only looking for sharper knives that allow cutting off vegetables and fruits very easily.

I lean toward Buck. Truth is, the one I have with me when I need it.

You can darn near get a handmade blade for the cost of a good factory blade.

Becker Knife and Tool. Built like a tank. No complaints with mine.

My favorite knife completely depends on the situation. I carry a 110 Buck on my belt. But I also carry a two inch SOG folder in my pocket. In the saddle bag on my Summit I carry a S&W zipper knife for field dressing whitetails. My favorite butchering knives are made by Mora of Sweden & are the sharpest knife I've ever seen. So much so that I purchased an entire butchering set. But then I still carry a KaBar combat knife under the seat of my truck, so it's difficult to choose a favorite. But I'm also convinced that each knife I own is a great knife for each specific task.

I like Dozier knifes. I prefer the high quality D-2 steel blades that Dozier makes. And I have a Sagen Saw. Best combination that I have found for field dressing a deer.

I have a Spyderco Native in my pocket, but I also use a skinner and fighter/pigsticker crafted by Nick Trout.

I use the Native on an average of 20-30 times a day around here, and I've gutted, skinned and butchered deer with it, so I guess it's my favorite. I can cut a slit under a treerat tail and have its britches off in a NY second with that thang. :happy0001:

Around home I use a Gerber Superknife and Stanley FatMax blades. I don't use my deer knife for chores.
