There are quite a few quality knives being made, and at reasonable prices. My everyday knife is a CRKT M16-EDC, I have several CRKT knives and I've never been disappointed. Havalon, I have the original Piranta with the stainless steel handle. They call their knives "crazy-sharp" and they aren't kidding. I just bought 2 dozen replacement blades for $9.95 from Sportsman's guide. One of my favorite hunting knives is the Caper-Lite folding knife from Outdoor Edge. This knife feels like an extension of your hand, it's a great knife and it's less than $30.

Havalon Paranta the best for dressing and capping. I use this knife all year long between outfitting and meat processing. Fits in your front pocket and can change blades with ease.

Old timer is my favorite by far.

Helle Knives, hand-made in Norway, best knives I've ever used, and stays sharper than anything I've ever had.
