Im looking at what looks like a 1858 New Army revolver, made in italy. Askng price is $125. Is it wirth it? what do I need to look for to see if the gun is worth anything

It looks pretty nice a new one can be had for $175-$200. Make sure everything is in working order and no rust or pitting in the barrel. If it is a private sale ask what comes with it. I like the case hardened finish. It is nice having a steel receiver instead of brass.

There is one that looks like that in my gun safe, the hand doesn't work well, you can get it to rotate the cylinder when the gun is held pointed at the sky but not when it is pointed at the ground. It says Richland Arms on the barrel. My son paid $100 for it. I think he got gypped.
