Both are discontinued models that have been replaced by upgraded models with new names. They are both serviceable MLs with inconsistent range reports/inconsistent triggers. Some are fantastic shooters... some have been wrapped around trees....lol.

T7 is right.I have a cva magbolt which is same as hunterbolt I think. When i first got it I could not hit a gallon jug at 100 yards.I kept playing with it and finally got it to shoot 1" groups at 100 yards and 2-3" groups at 150 yards.I bedded the stock and finally found a bullet/powder combination that worked.I have a buddy that bought one and never had a problem and it shoots great.Mine will not shoot the powerbelts they scatter every where.

I have a hunter bolt .50 and really have no complaints except the finish on the barrel is not very durable. I get about 2" groups at 100 yards using 295 gr. hollow point power belts and (2) 50 gr pellets of pyrodex.

Depending on the price of the CVA rifles, there are some other rifles out there right now that I might lean more towards. I just have read some excellent reports on them and think they are a better value for the money. But I will not talk down a CVA. I own a Staghorn Magnum and it is a great shooting rifle. Good luck.
