Last year, I used a friend's 700ml. I just used 2 50gr. pellets 240 gr. XTP T/C sabots. It shot sub-2" groups at 100 yds. and was plenty deadly. Killed two deer, one through both shoulders and on quartering from shoulder to hip. Both completely passed through with big exit holes.

Try the Remington 303gr. bullets with 150gr. pellets or less (loose)
pyrodex.

I would try 90-105 gr of 2f T7 and 200 gr.40 dead center from Precision Rifle. Best groups are at 90 gr.;sub-moa when the weather is right. 105 gr yields groups less than 2" @ 100yds. Recoil with 105 gr is like a .243, if that is a consideration.

Pyrodex Pellets. No never used power belts. When I got my 700 ML I tried several bullets and powder setups, it just worked out the best at 100 gr of pyro. pellets and Hornady 240 Gr sabots. I have had no reason to change, I have taken 4 big game animals with this set up.
At the range tonight and had her group real nice in the 1" range, so I am ready for smoke!
I think it really comes down to each gun, guy and his confidence. IMO that is the differential in many cases, my buddy was positive his scope was hooped, I fake loaned him the same type scope (I actually didn't mount...for S&G's...you see I shot it and it was good). We went to the range and poof bang where he wanted it to be @ 100....he said see I told you, well for the next 2 shots I played it cool, but then as he was off on a told you so...I let him know I didn't to jack. Mean I know, but he realized that he was going to make that scope make mistakes...all in his head. He is still a little p'd at me for that one, however I think the guy could at least buy my lunch or even a coffee for saving him say cash? A little off topic sorry, but you get the point...shoot what will make you confident.

I love my 700ML and it loves the Barnes sabot with 80 gr. of Pyrodex. I've tried several different loads of powder at the range and the gun didnt perform any better for me with more than 80 gr. And its performed equally well on the deer I've taken with it. Every gun has its own likes/dislikes, so try different things until you find something that works best for you.
Good luck,
