Howdy- if the nipple is too large, you may have a musket cap nipple installed on your breech plug, instead of a percussion cap nipple. If you do not have a screw-on separate nipple on the breech plug, you have a 209 conversion breech plug on your T-Bolt which will only use 209 shotgun primers. I own 3 T-Bolts and before they were discontinued, many came from the factory with the 209 conversion kit installed already. Many of these were sold through Bass Pro Shops. I hope this information helps you out. Let me know how you make out.

Here's a pointer to a pretty good article on that rifle - it should tell you a lot about it.

I got ahold of the guy I bought it from and this is what he said.

It’s the big ones – NO. 1081 is what the can I have says on it.
I was shooting Hornady Sabots 240 gr. XTP
I have never heard of a NO 1081, does anyone know where i can find them.

You have a musket nipple on your rifle.

1081 refers to the model number of a RWS-1081 Musket Cap.

I've used german RWS caps for a very long time. The best I've ever used.

However, any musket cap should work.
