Congrats!!!! You are obviously on Santa's list!

One thing for sure about ML is that there is no one thing for every weapon or person.
Which is one of the things that I like most about this sport. There is a "tinker and tweak" factor.

Lot's of really helpfull info floating around in this form from cleaning, loads, powders, procedures, scopes, equipment and so on.
I'd also review the MFG manual tha comes with the weapon.
Also check out www.chuckhawks.com. Lots of great info there as well.

Best,

Curious, which Traditions Model? For winning one it really does not matter though.

I don't have a Traditions ML, but I've heard ok things about them.

Traditions is a low to mid range level importer from Spain along with CVA.

I'm somewhat interested in the new Traditions Pursuit Pro but the horrendous trigger pull on this model has me just that - only interested.

Likely the model you have won is the Tracker 209 .50 cal. Scoped Redi-Pak

Looks like a nifty complete package with everything you need except powder and primers to get started in ML!
A friend of mine bought this for his 13 year old son this Christmas. He will be using this next year for deer season as he will be 14 then.

From the Traditions Website:

Well dust off the 10MLII!!!
The 10MLII is among the top of the ML food chain in my view. Wish I had one. A friend of mine has one and I've shot it several times. Sweet weapon!

I have a Traditions bolt action and have had very good results with it this past ML season. I have a 1" group at 100 yards with 100g triple seven and powerbelts.
