smoked one this morning!!

Default smoked one this morning!!

Woke up this morning to about 1 1/2" of snow so i grabed my smokepole and hit the woods got to my spot at about 7:20 am and at about 9am a nice basket rack 8pnt gave me a broadside shot at about 50yds. he ran sideways about 10ft then balled up. thier aint nothing like smokepoles!

Ok yall wanted the details:
My gun is a .50 cal Traditions Lightning bolt-action. Im shooting Powerbelt 295gr hollowpoints being pushed by a 100gr of Pyrodex rs. As for the pics i dont have a scanner or a dig. cam so ill try to get one on somehow.

How did the Powerblelt perform at that distance? I note that the deer didn't fo far but what type of penetration/damage did you get?

Regarding the penetration question it was great left a hole on the oposite side about popcan size. i was very pleased with the powerbelts.
