Default porky bit the dirt

i got a chance to try the 120 gr powder load and the 300 gr soild speer bullet saturday morning. I had about 6 or 7 come out in my food plot at 150 yards. It was a big sow some small piglets and a young boar about a 100 # i hit him square in the chest and got a clean pass through and he never took a stepp ,but he did go airborn for a second. sorry but no picture till i get the rest of the film took. Also tried it on a young buck late that afternoon ,i made a low neck hit on him at a 100 yards ,no tracking him either. It was my little boys first big game hunt, i sure will be glad when he gets big enough to hold the gun and make his first kill.

Isn't that Speer 300 grain solid nose bullet a Gold Dot? I have the RNSP 270 gr. Gold Dots in 44/50. Never did build-up a load for them. They come in a yellow, hard plastic box of 50 for around $8.99. I'll save em' to try when I run out of the rest of various bullet makes I own. I suspect that may be around 2008... I literally have around 600 for 50-cal alone.

congratulations of the hog & deer. Sounds like a fast way to fill a freezer.... It also sounds like you have an excellent load worked up for the rifle...

Those are not the Gold Dots.. but here's a much better price

Click Here For Your Speer SP 300 .451

They lowered the price on mine. Notice next to the "SPEER" name how well they mushroom.
