Default Navy Arms Co 36 cal

Hello, I just got an old replica from a guy it has no book or anything with it other than a powder flask and some 87 grain balls. I have thoroughly cleaned it and purchased some powder and caps but have no idea where to start as far as powder load and other significant details. any one out there that could give a person some help?maybe where get a book on it or a good place to start with powder charge ect. Any help would be great thanx. Don

Start out at 15grs. and a max of 30grs. will get you started. The Lyman Black Powder Handbook and Loading Manual would be a good book for you to purchase. Lots of info. Good luck.

BTW, if you're new at shooting them, be sure and either use a wonder wad between powder and ball, or grease over the top of each cylinder to prevent chain or cross fires.
