Hello, i am new to muzzleloading and to this sight so i am hoping someone will take the time to help me.i am looking to replace the barrel on my rem 700 with a custom barrel,my question is this.is the breech plug thraeded into the barrel or is it threaded into the receiver?or does the breech plug tighten to the back of the barrel when the barrel is installed??i hope this is not a dumb question.any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your Remington barrel is screwed into the the reciever. The breech plug screws into the barrel. The face of the breech plug mates with a flange in the barrel.
