Default Scope for Knight Disc 50 cal.??

I am buying a Knight Disc 50 cal. and will be shooting a max distance of probably 200 yards with it and am wondering what kind of scope I should get with it. I am new to the blackpowder guns so please help me out. I don't want to spend a fortune, I have been looking at the following and wonder what you guys think or if you have some others in mind...Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 $99; Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 $149; Simmons AETEC 2.8-10x44 $149?

Thanks,
Joey

Go to www.natchezss.com, they have really good prices.
A 3x9-40 is a good choice for Knights, and the Disc is heavy enough to absorb a lot of the recoil, so about any of those will done fine.

One thing though, if your new to muzzleloaders, I wouldn't try shooting at deer from 200yards.
I'd suggest keeping under 100 yards, but still practice at long range.

If you think your going to shoot 200 yards then you need a 3-9X40 mm at least. Natchez has the Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn with 6" eye relief for around $65.00. A good brand name and good scope although I just bought one and must have got a bad one, it is on its way back for replacement.

The important thing with these rifles is eye relief and a strong scope to take the brutal recoil they somethings get. The shotgun scopes are a good choice...

Joey

I also have a Knight in .50 cal. its an older model the BK-92. I have a 3-9X40 Nikon Buckmaster, this scope for the money is clear & crisp I paid $180 for it, about 4 years ago. I see they are $199 almost everywhere these days.
