Bushnell makes a great scope...had one on my TC Omega last season....Just bought a Nikon 1x7x32, haven't got to shoot it yet, but is very clear...paid 129.99 from bps

Stumpy,

Something I forgot to mention was rings and bases. Since you have a Knight, I would suggest Leupold rings and bases. You will probably spend another $40 for the set. If you have more money, get the QD rings and bases. They make cleaning much easier when you don't have to worry about getting your scope wet or banged up.

I bought a Bushnell from Walmart for $40, and it works great. I'd like to buy a good scope/rings combo someday, but it works fine for now.

The more important thing I'd address is limiting your shots to 100yards.
Take a few shots at 150, to know you can hit that far out, if you have to.

It's important to locate where your deer was standing when you shot.
Tracking is tough with muzzleloaders, sometimes deer just don't bleed very well from a .44 or .45 cal bullet.

The Millett 1.5x4 came in yesterday. Put it on my G2. Solid as a rock and amazingly clear. Nice little scope and I no longer need to worry about the scope integrating with my forehead.

Hurriedly sighted it back in early this afternoon. Pretty strong wind gusts, blowing rain, and getting cold out there so I was very happy with the results.

I have several Bushnell scopes and never a problem with any of them. My most recent ones are Banners Dusk-Dawn 1.5-4.5 x 32 and I like them a lot (one on my Ithace 37 and one on my Rossi ML). Can't go wrong for $60-70.
