RE: Thompson Center Shock Waves?
The spray coming out the hole is a little small... usually takes three finger-actions on the nozzle to cover my big 3" patch... same patch used on 12-16 gauge shotguns. I run both sides of the patch... then discard it for a clean dry one. Use both sides.... then it's usually dry enough to load & shoot.
If you are not using copper bullets, you can substitute the ammonia Windex for regular Windex. That itsy-bitsy bit of ammonia helps remove copper remnants. That ingredient is common with most store solvents that claim to remove copper. |

RE: Thompson Center Shock Waves?
Rusty,
Your stock ram rod tip is basically used for cleaning or round ball loading. There are other types of bullets, like the shockwave, that have a polymer tip or hollow points. You will need to attain the special tips or you can take a drill and drill out space on your stock loader to accomidate the tip. This way it is not damaged when you load it. I chose purchasing the extra tips. Tom |
RE: Thompson Center Shock Waves?
ive never tried a ballistic tip in my M/L but the power belts loaded fine for me when I shot a few with the stock rod and ill probably stick to them for this season since I already have 2 packs of them sitting here
