A lot of what I posted is good for newcomers and not so experienced shooters, I gave my rifle recommendation if that is all they want, I am just trying to make a post that there is something for everyone, but the most experienced shooters.

Look at and shoulder all of them then think about what you want in a rifle and what you will use it for.
Will you want sabots or traditional Patch Round Ball will you hunt or target shoot or both?
If you want traditional then plan on Black powder or Pyrodex.
If you wish to use sabots with bullets [usually jacketed] , you also need to consider powder, the TC rifles will shoot the new Blackhorn powder without modification, you can use 777 but a lot of us that tried it got what is known as crud-ring this is a hard buildup of residue about where the bullet sits and it has to be scrubbed out every shot, and the of course there is Pyrodex which work in all most everything and is reliable, dirty and low powered compared to Blackhorn but so is Black and it was used for centuries before any subs were developed. As for suggestions Fist get one that fits then if its not a TC get it adapted to use Blackhorn 209.
My personal preference would be a Triumph, with Blackhorn and Shockwave bullets. The 200 grain for long range the 250 for all around use and the 300 gr Bonded for game bigger than deer.

If you like the Optima Pro there is nothing wrong with it. I used one for years and it was extremely accurate and hit everything I aimed at when I did my part. I sold it and was using traditionals for several years (still do) but when I got another in line it was the CVA Accura. I like CVAs

Told you muley this is not an old thread, but you can call it anything you want, you may be seeing a lot of it soon. But you know what it looks like it won't take much to just pass it by unless you are looking for trouble. If you are Talk to a moderator.

Thank you ronlaughlin I didn't even notice that, I looked back to see who brought the thread forward and it looked like my post was the first current post. I do not know how that happened because someone that brought this thread forward should have been listed. I did not bring this thread forward, I have no reason to look thru burried threads just for fun. In any event I wasn't going to get mad, I was going to ask you for the name of the thread that was 10 years old, so I could go look at the "Post" I thought every one was talking about. I guess someone is just playing, My BAD, it won't happen again. Thanks Again.
