I'm going on Friday to pick up the new TC Omega stainless w/laminate w/thumbhole. I have never owned a muzzleloader before but my buddies claim that this is a good one. I don't mind spending the money if I get quality in return. I would appreciate any and all feedback on this muzzleloader from the experts out there.
Thanks,

I love my stainless/camo Omega. It shoots 1" groups at 100yds with 2 T-7 pellets and 300gr SST's. The only thing I personally don't like about the thumbhole is it's just not comfortable and practical in many hunting situations although it is great for the range. To each his own, it's a great rifle and the thumbhole is a super sharp stock, hope you like it.

You may want to buy a pkg of Powerbelts to shoot through it before you start putting it through it's paces. I like to run 1 pkg of them to help break the rifling in some. I have 3 rifles here that will shoot MOA or better that have all had it done to them. I have another that had it done which probably could shoot MOA if I had a scope on it.

The Omega is an excellent choice. I would caution you though to check the scope mount screw holes carefully. One of the scope mount screw holes stripped out on me when I mounted a scope base. I had an interesting experience with T/C customer service getting the situation corrected.
