Default Maxi Hunter Moulds

Any of you guys know if T/C makes a mould for their 275 gr. 50 cal maxi hunter bullet. Not the Maxi Ball. This conical shoots great in all 3 of my muzzleloaders and I would like to mould my own bullets but can't find the mould anywhere. T/C doesn't show it as a catalouged item.

My understanding is they used to make a mold for them then stopped. I figure they must like making money from the sale of their own bullets. There are some good molds out there like the Lyman Plains concial. I would suggest buy some first and see if they work for you. I have been having good luck shooting the REALs concials also, but I have not tried them at real long distances...

i have a maxi hunter mould i bought years ago. its kinda a pain to get the right tempersature a to cast a good one with this mould because of the hollow center. its a neat mould but i found that the regular 370 gr. maxi ball shoots great in all my guns where the maxi hunter is a little more fussy. my buddy shoots a tc scout and the maxi hunters shoot better out of his gun.

Bronco22000 I have a maxihunter mould I bought several years ago. It is a 50 cal. and is 370 gr. I have made probably 100 bullets with it . I used it in my TC Hawken, but I like the Maxiball better. I have shot 1 deer@ 100 yards plus and wild boar @about 45 yards with the Maxihunter and both animals dropped in there tracks. The reason I don't use it is every once in awhile I would get a flyer off the target. This mould is the original style I don't think that TC made one with there new style Maxihunter. I would sell this mould if it is something you want. [email protected]
