cayugad I think if I remember you have a t/c rengade in 54 cal.
You know I pick up the 54 cal. New Englander, should be here by the end of this week.I would think the Renegade @ the New Englander both having the 1 in 48 twist should be all most the same.
What is you favorite load in the 54 cal. I just ordered some R>E>A>L> 380 grain from Black Jack hill

The Renegade of course loves round balls with a .015 patch with moose milk and 80 grains of Pyrodex RS or Select. As for the conicals, I shoot both the 300 grain and the 380 grain LEE R.E.A.L.s and a wonder wad. I usually shoot 90 grains when I hunt and I have target shot with as little as 60 grains. If your rifle is like mine, it will take a lot of different loads and handle them all real well. The only thing it does not seem to like are the 415 grain minnie balls. Even when I paper wrapped them, it still threw them all over the paper. I am going to try some different loads and see what happens. The rifle also shoot T/C maxi balls and hunters real well, and buffalo bullets shoot well out of it also. The only thing it does not like are sabots. It will shoot them but not very well.
