Here is the target that I shot at during the summer some time with my CVA Bobcat. About 80 degrees. 42 yds. 80 grs RS. .490 Speer Round Ball. .015 TC lubed patch. 2.5" shoot-n-see target. 1.90" group.

Here is another target from Dec 18th, 2003. 50 yds. 80 grs RS. .490 Round Ball. .015 TC lubed patch. Military 25 yd pistol target. 2.0" Had to reduce the size of the targets to get them to fit on the site.

charlie brown, have you ever practiced off shooting sticks? I made a set of them and they are about the best thing there is to shoot off of besides the bench rest. I am going to make an end cover so I can use it as a walking stick and attatch some clips so it can carry my range rod at the same time. You can shoot some tremendous groups off the things, especially if you can get into a sitting position.

No, I haven't tried shooting sticks. I have thought about getting a pair. They could come in handy around here in the 6,000 to 10,000 feet elevations that I hunt and the 30 degree and sometimes steeper slopes! I do like to keep everything as light as possible.

Make them, it is really easy and you can really get accurate with them. I made a pair out of some cedar and I think the bolt costed me $2.00. They work great and if you can lean against something you can really get steady....
