Default bullet casting

I have a question for all you old long time casters. If you add tin to your lead at a 30:1 or 40:1 ratio, will your bullets end up larger or smaller in diameter over using pure lead?
I believe I also read that adding a bit of tin you your lead will allow the lead to flow better. True or not?

Adding tin will allow the mould to fill better to a point, and Heat will also be a part of the equation. Adding alloy weather it is tin, antimony or a combination will make for larger, but lighter bullets.
That said. If a guy is casting with pure and the mould is not filling out well due to not having it dialed in. If you add a pinch of tin the bullets can get heavier. Again that is because the mould is filling out to its max. I have found that moulds can be very finicky. Not every one casts the same.

Thanks that is the info I was looking for. Appreciate it. I think I'm going to remelt my bullets down and add some tin to a 1:40 ratio and get the lead a bit hotter this time. Maybe just about 25 more degrees up to 750*F. Those darn swirls in the bullets just bug me. The tin should help get rid of them.
