Default Fun with the .58 flinter today

Took the .58 Renegade out today to shoot it before Saturday's PA primitive season opener. Shot it at 50 yards at a 5" Shoot-N-C target. First shot just about blew out the orange 1/2" dot in the canter of the target! But the next shots all went right about 2" no matter how much I swabbed the bore. A total of 8 more shots that all landed in the same area and one that was really weird that hit about 8" low. What was really strange is that I got a face full of unburned powder when that shot went off. Powder was preloaded in a tube and could possibly have gotten contaminated some.
I tapped the rear sight a tad to the left and took a couple more shots Can blame the rifle now if I miss. I really want to bust a big old doe with that .58. Hoping to post some pics next week....
