Default Powder coated bullets

Has anyone tried shooting powder coated bullets out of your muzzy? Not 8n a sabot but bore size conicals. It sure would be a lot less messier than lube.

I'm thinking of powder coating some different conicals to try them out. I can cast some 340, 350 and maxiballs for coating

Looking forward to test results Bronko. I've often thought of trying to electroplate some of Ed Mehlig's full bore bullets with copper or brass. It's on the "one of these days" list.

Got bullets coated and hopefully try them out tomorrow. These are 458" bullets sized to .454" then coated and final sized to .451". I sure hope they shoot as good as they look!
Not sure why I can't post pics. Not from my phone nor from my computer!!
Edited: Able to upload pic. I guess the file was too large before.

I shot these out of my 45 Encore and was pleased how they shot. Two 3 shot groups measured about 1 1/2" at 100 yards. Next outing I will shoot the same bullets with just lube to see if there is any accuracy difference.
