RE: . 50 Wolverine II 209 disc
doo my 22" Wolverine is probably 10 years old or close to it now. A couple of years ago I put the 209 conversion in it and the only thing I switched was the bullet (had been shooting 250 Xbullets). I shoot 2 50 grain pellets of Pyro and the 200gn Red Hots (Barnes X bullets). I routinely get 1.5" groups at 100yds and kill as easily at 150 as I do at 15 feet. The lil gun is a jewel (I killed a large bull in the Gila in 98 with my " cheap lil gun" ). In all honesty were I not going to a smokeless Savage nextyear I probably would use this lil jewel for the rest of my life! Its an old Wolverine with the good ole Timney trigger in it and has always shot 1.5" groups of most anyload I ever put in it. I used to shoot 90 grains of Pyrodex ahead of 250 and 300grain Barnes before the switch to pellets and later the 209 conversion.
Good luck,
RA

Dipperdoo,
I, too, have an older Wolverine with the 209 conversion. I have used and use the 240 grain and 300 grain XTPs over 100 grains of Pyrodex RS. I have also used pellets, and I have a new can of Select to try this year. I have gotten great results on accuracy as well as terminal preformance. I shoot out to 100 yards, open sights.
