CVA Kodiak Magnum 50 cal maximum bullet weight
Good morning folks. New forum member here and have a question. I bought a 50 caliber CVA Kodiak Magnum muzzleloader from my good neighbor and will to use it for elk hunting in Colorado this fall. Neighbor did not have the original owners manual and I cannot find one when searching the internet. CVA company has a link on there website, but it goes to a different gun manual. Emailed them and they just said that the gun has been discontinued and they do not have a manual.
So, does anyone know what the manual would say for the largest weight bullet that could be used? I think I'll be using a 350ish grain bullet with around 90 or 100 grains of powdered Blackhorn 209.
I would just like to know that the gun can safely handle that size load.
Appreciate any input. Thanks for your time!

BTW Blackhorn209 might have issues in the Kodiak breach plug. Make sure your primers seal good and keep the flash channel clean with a 3mm drill bit. The other option is to modify the plug by increasing the flash channel to 5/32" and add a Savage type vent liner on the powder side.
This is the step by step on how to mod the plug
