Looking for a new BP Rifle

I know there are many makes and kinds. I am in the market for a new rifle. Something mid tier. Maybe say $500 max I don’t know. I haven’t bought a BP in a very long time. My first one I bought was a T/C Omega X7. I won’t be shooting anything more than 100 yards. Would like something with a weather guard if possible. I know this is a trap question and shouldn’t be asking but oh well. I am in Florida and about 1 hour from a Bass Pro if I need to make a trip to get one. Places near me have a very limited selection.

Looking for something the equal of an Omega in that price range is tough.

Instead of Weather Guard or Cerakote type finishes which are normally on carbon steel.....look at models with nitride treated stainless steel. Cheap coatings are exterior only but nitride also helps protect the bore.

muzzle-loaders.com has a good selection and fair pricing.

Thanks. Got me started. Looks like I’m leaning towards the Accura Nitride.

Good choice. I am very happy with my CVA Accura Nitride with 27" barrel. I took the rear sight off and put a peep sight on the scope mount area. Been shooting it for a couple of months. I cast my own 450 grain conicals. Using 80 grains by volume of 209 I'm shooting a 1" group at 50 yds. At 100 able to keep 3 in a 4" group all in kill zone. Also , got mine from Muzzle-loader.com

i would look at a t/c impact i've got one that matches the markmanship of a t/c triumph very good bp starter

I like that the barrel of the Traditions Nitride Pursuit G4 model is made of chromloy steel.
That's the same steel that centerfire rifles are made from.
It comes with or without a scope package:--->>> https://www.muzzle-loaders.com/rifle...749246nmz.html
The product page says that even the scope is covered by the Traditions lifetime warranty.
