Default 320 Real for elk???

Anyone here actually take an elk with one of these 320 grain REAL conicals? What would be the max effective range ? I realize we are talking lots of different powder and gun combos. What is your gun and load combo? Max range? Personally, they seem to be too light but I have no actual first hand knowledge.

The next time I get an elk tag, I will be using the 250gr REAL. These bullets hit like a freight train and penetrate deeply. 100 yards without a doubt.

My dad put the 250gr real bullet to test a couple day ago on a 300lbish elk. It was a neck shot and dropped at the sound of the shot. Complete exit. Quarter size exit hole in the neck.
