Barnes 275g TSX Bushmaster Again

jsteurrys wished to see the Barnes 275g 450 Bushmaster captured using 50 grain Blackhorn powder; he sent more bullets.

The distance between the rifle, and the horse is 25 yard. Using 50 grain Blackhorn powder.

The bullet made two holes in every (six) jug. It tore every page in the phone book. The bullet was found on the ground under the phone book.

Really goes to show Barnes TSX never goes with a light load or unusually long distance, unless there's a specific reason to limit expansion.

It would be interesting to see what happens if one were to drill out the hollow point to a larger size.

The depth of the hollow is about 9/16". The diameter is about 0.090". What do you want to drill it to?

How do these measurements compare to the hollow on their EZ bullets?

Muley Hunter 05-03-2018 06:24 AM

It's very small in diameter.

The 250 grain TEZ hollow measures about 7/16" deep; 0.216" diameter.

Keep it simple - 1/8" / 0.125
