the ncwrc has proposed dropping the first week of black powder season limiting us to 1 week if you bp hunt in nc and don't want to lose that first week PLEASE visit the nc wildlife resources commison website and use the comments section to view your opinion. not sure it can make a difference but sure cant hurt

Well if NC is anything like PA's game commission it doesn't matter what you say or do. They just do what they want anyway. We hunters have been telling them for years to reduce the anterless tag allocation in some areas but they didn't listen.
Now our deer numbers (on public land) are way down in many areas. Its hard to get kids interested in hunting when they go out all day and not see anything when they could be in a nice warm house playing a video game for excitement.

They may be doing this because they have reached their herd numbers and want to back off on the number of hunt days. Just a thought.
