The pictures of the breech plugs are in post#6. What do you think those are? They aren't in the gun.

If you're worried about not being able to get a brush through it.
Get one of these. I use them on sidelocks and they reverse easily. Read the description on it. http://www.octobercountry.com/msm-bore-brushes/ |
I think Sharpshooter had one of the first models before T/C. If anyone could tell you how it shoots or preforms, he might be able to help you.

Grouse has one too. At least he used to.

In post # 6 those are adapters,
1 is for loose powder and the other is for loose powder and pellets. |
They're breech plugs. A different design from other guns, but breech plugs.
If you don't like the design, buy a different gun. Simple. |
wjsmall97, take a closer look at post number 6 as the others have said. From what I can see as I have never seen or held on of those strikes, the chamber is over sized and the breech plug is fitted in permanently but that breech plug looks to be more of a receiver than a plug. The actual plug is the adaptor and it is sized to the barrel dimension. In other words, you pull that adaptor and you will be looking at a .50 caliber hole. It does pay to look close and pay attention.
