TSA is much the same. Follow their policy for flying with a rifle and you'll see. Check them in at baggage, walk them over for inspection, close it up and put TSA lock on it. Pick them up at baggage and locks gone. Next trip, locks there. And this is coming from Alaska on Alaska Air who see A LOT of guns you'd think. My bother had EXACLY same experience using his own locks. Airline blames it on TSA.

I didn't think you were suppose to use TSA locks on firearms cases?

Same thing happened to me on my trip to South Africa. Every time I went through TSA I lost a lock. Wound up buy another set at the Airport and now still don't have a complete set. ☹️
