Default Some Miscellaneous Chronograph Data

Grouse's post on "I don't remember doing this???" inspired me to look through my Photobucket albums for some old chronograph data that I was sure was there somewhere.

These are the ones I found that may or may not be of interest to someone out there.

Very interesting numbers there. Especially the .58 caliber with 105 grains of powder. The Pyrodex P was the big surprise. That would be a hard hitting load there. In the flintlocks of course I can only shoot Black Powder.

One thing I found interesting - look at the second and third lines of the first chart - was that with the same bullet and load I got significantly higher velocities with MMP sabots over Harvester sabots. But the group size with the MMPs was six times larger than with the Harvesters.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Harvester truly makes a better 40cal bullet sabot for a 45 rifle.
