Default Bullet & Sabot

Hi all

Been lurking here but not posting anything for quite some time and have a question. Take a look at this picture and let me know what these bullets are. I got them along with a .54 cal muzzleloader and I think they are Harvester Hard Cast bullets but not sure. Sorry for the upside down photo! Thank you in advance.

They look like knights bullets with MMP sabots.

Im sure that is not a Harvester hard cast. Looks like old stock Knight or T/C Cheap Shot.

The red sabot tells me its either pulled from a Barnes 54x50 or its a MMP54x45. The Harvester 54x45 looks a tiny bit different but its really hard to tell for sure. At one time Knight did offer a 54x50 lead but they have not been sold in many years and the sabots would be purple.

It would be helpful if the OP would weigh just the bullet. IIRC Knight had 260gr and 310gr in lead HP...there may have been another weight too. I can look though a 2006 catalog in a minute.

Well I would love to weigh them but don't have a scale. It is a thick sabot and .451 bullet. Thank you for all your help and input!

Yeah, I'd have to agree that they are Knights too. When I bought a couple Green Mountain IBS long range hunter barrels they came with a handful of these along with a bottle of Knight gun oil.

They look like the Knight 260's. Pretty sure that they are. I prefer the jacketed version of that bullet by a mile, for hunting.
