Hoppes Elite and M7Pro are more or less the same product. Both are made by Pantheon and the MSDS looks pretty much the same.

I never soak my plugs but i have no doubt it would help. A hex head drill bit in a nut driver handle is easy to use. Pro Shot makes SS gas port brushes that cut through minor carbon fouling with ease. They will shine the flash channel to like new in a few seconds.

Clean the channel with the correct drill bit first and follow up with these.

I did use my 30 cal brass brush on it and it cleaned it right up. Problem was that the brush wouldn't get that last 1/8" at the bottom because the brissles didn't go to the tip.
