Default OT - My other rifle is coming along

Shes a hell of a shooter! I had a great time with the M44 at 100 yards today. I mounted a KonusPro 6-24x44 scope that my dad bought me for my birthday one year. Rock solid mount and sporter bolt was used. Now I just want to order one of those Arc Angel stocks for it to top it off. REALLY pleased with how well that russian FMJ ammo shoots as well. Its a heavy rifle though thats for sure. I will weigh it tomorrow but i am guessing around 11lbs with that stock. This one has the 20" barrel but the better made, Hungarian model. Beautifully machined and the bolt is nice and slick.

Not bad for a $135 rifle huh!

Great rifle on the range as well. They bring the crowd one they see that 5 foot flame from such a small rifle LOL.

I know so very little about that rifle. What caliber is it? Where was it made? Those older rifles make some excellent hunting rifles, if you can stand the weight of them.

This one is Hungarian and chambered in 7.62x54, With the shorter 20" barrel its running close to a .308 while the full size mosin nagant with the 28" barrel in comparable to a 30-06.

Very famous rifles in Russia during WW2. Enemy at the gates does a fine job showing off the mosin nagant.
